The Lock can sit in the camera itself
Many organisations have network cameras from Axis Communications. The XoT-Lock can now run directly on the camera and provide secure remote access. With an XoT-S1 in front of the camera you also get Hide and Protect.
How it works
Two ways to protect the camera
The Lock in the camera
The Lock is installed as an ACAP app on the camera. It provides Remote Access, secure remote access to the camera. No extra hardware is needed. You get the app from us.
The Lock in front of the camera
An XoT-S1 sits between the camera and the switch. It provides both Remote Access and Hide and Protect. Only authorised users reach the camera, and it is invisible to everyone else.

In both cases you register the Lock in the XMS, the same way as other Locks. The policies in the XMS then decide who may reach the camera, and when.

Cameras we have verified
We have verified the Lock on cameras in the AXIS P37 Panoramic Camera Series. The Lock also supports other Axis models, but we have not verified them yet.

Common questions
Do we have to replace the cameras?
No. The Lock can run on the cameras you already have, if the model is supported. Otherwise the Lock sits in front of the camera.
Do we need an XoT-S1 as well?
For Remote Access, the Lock in the camera is enough. If you also want Hide and Protect, you need an XoT-S1 in front of the camera. It also suits cameras from other manufacturers.
