Remote Access
The Lock in the router that is already there
Many remote stations and machines connect over mobile networks with a router from Teltonika Networks. The XoT-Lock can be installed directly in that router. You then get secure remote access without setting up more hardware.
How it works
A package in the router's operating system
Teltonika routers run the RutOS operating system. In RutOS you can install extra features as packages. The XoT-Lock is available as such a package, and you get it from us.
Once the package is installed, you enrol the Lock in the XMS, just like other Locks. The policies in the XMS then decide who may reach the equipment behind the router, and when.
The Lock connects outbound to the XoT-Bridge. So no ports need to be opened towards the router.

When it fits
Equipment far away, connected over mobile networks
Remote stations
Pumping stations, substations and similar sites that are controlled from a control centre.
Machines at customer sites
Machine builders who need to reach their machines at customer sites for service.
Temporary sites
Construction sites, measuring stations and other equipment that only stays in one place for a while.
Common questions
Do we need an XoT-S1 as well?
No. The Lock runs in the router. You can still use an XoT-S1 if you want, for example if the router does not run RutOS.
Does it work over mobile networks?
Yes. XoT works over any IP network, including 4G and 5G.
