Xertified

Security for industrial networks

Protect the equipment and decide who can reach it

XoT makes industrial equipment invisible on the network. Only someone with a valid digital key can connect. You decide who gets access, to which machine and for how long.

Compliance

Xertified takes laws and regulations seriously. We build products that help customers meet their requirements.

Functions

Hide and Protect and Remote Access. You can use them separately or together.

Fits what you have

Keep your IP addresses, switches and firewalls. XoT works with what you already have.

Hardware and software

Physical equipment often works well with our hardware Lock. The software Lock suits virtualised environments.

The problem

Industrial equipment is hard to protect

Industrial machines often stay in use for many years. The computers inside them stop receiving security updates long before the machines are replaced. So known vulnerabilities remain. These are flaws that an attacker can exploit.

At the same time, vendors need to reach the machines for servicing and troubleshooting. They are often given a VPN, an encrypted connection into the network. That gives them access to far more than the machine they need to work on.

Hard to update

Many machines can only be updated when production is stopped. Some no longer receive any updates at all.

Hard to divide the network

Dividing a network into separate parts takes time and means stopping operations. So the work is often postponed.

Vendors need access

Vendors must be able to support their machines. The question is how they can reach one machine without reaching the whole network.

The solution

A Lock in front of the equipment

XoT is built around a Lock that you install next to the equipment you want to protect. You do not need to change anything in the equipment or rebuild the network. One Lock can protect a single machine, several machines or defined parts of the network.

The XoT-S1 hardware Lock is designed and manufactured in Sweden.

The Lock has two functions. You can use them separately or together.

Hide and Protect

The equipment responds only to traffic from someone with a valid key. To everyone else it is invisible. Tools that scan the network do not find it, and unauthorised users cannot connect to it.

Remote Access

A vendor gets access to a single machine for a set period. When the time is up, the access ends automatically. The log shows who connected, to what, from where and for how long.

The technology

Proven encryption and digital certificates

XoT encrypts the traffic with WireGuard, a modern technology for encrypted connections. WireGuard's code is reviewed often.

Every user and every device has its own digital certificate. The certificate works like an identity document, so no passwords are needed. The user and the Lock check each other twice a minute while the connection is open. An authorisation you revoke stops working at the Lock immediately.

Reviewed architecture

The technology is built on proven reference standards and frameworks.

Tested against attacks

Several companies have tried to break into XoT. Would you like to run your own penetration test? Talk to us.

Patented

The European Patent Office granted all 15 patent claims in 2021.

Regulation

Support for NIS2 and IEC 62443

The EU's NIS2 directive and the IEC 62443 standard both set requirements for how you control access to your systems. XoT helps you meet several of them, such as the requirements on encryption, authorisation and login. We show exactly which requirements it helps with.

NIS2

NIS2 is the EU's directive on cybersecurity. It has applied in Sweden through the Cybersecurity Act since January 2026. We show which requirements XoT helps with and which it does not.

IEC 62443

This standard covers security in industrial control systems. It describes how to divide a plant into zones. A Lock can form a zone of its own around the equipment it protects.

Cyber Resilience Act

This EU regulation sets requirements for products with digital elements, meaning hardware and software. We explain what it means for you as a buyer of equipment.

Start with one machine

Choose the machine that is hardest to protect today. We will help you put a Lock in front of it. Once it works there, you will know how to protect the rest of the plant.
