Technology
How XoT is built
XoT has four parts: the Lock, a digital key, XoT Bridge and the XMS server. The traffic is encrypted with WireGuard, a well-known technology for encrypted connections.
Architecture
This page describes encryption, certificates and access rules. You can also read about how XoT has been tested.
Features
This page shows what Hide and Protect and Remote Access do. It also shows what XoT does not do.
Integrations
This page shows which systems XoT can connect to, such as user directories and logging systems.
Summary
Three principles behind XoT
The Lock sits close to the equipment
You install the Lock next to the equipment it protects. So it also protects against traffic from inside the network.
The key shows who you are
Every user and every device has its own digital certificate. XoT uses no passwords.
The check is repeated
The user and the Lock check each other twice a minute while the connection is open.
